A Message from Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison:

The Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival is a beloved staple on the events calendar of both Yorke Peninsula and South Australia.

The festival week sees tens of thousands of people gather to celebrate Cornish heritage and traditions, while enjoying the best of the region’s food and beverage, culture, and of course, welcoming hospitality.

I am proud to support this festival through the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Regional Event Fund. Events are critical for delivering important economic benefits to local businesses and communities, which is exactly what the towns of Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo enjoy thanks to this event.

I wish all those attending the Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival a wonderful time, and encourage you to explore Yorke Peninsula’s stunning natural playgrounds while there.

So what is Kernewek Lowender 2023? We sit down with the festival committee’s president, Lynn Spurling, to find out…
