ABOUT

The Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival is held on the Copper Coast in regional South Australia in the coastal towns of Wallaroo, Moonta and Kadina.

The region is full of Cornish buzz during the festival week and the local community welcomes approx. 45,000 people who join in on the festivities and celebrate the areas Cornish heritage.

In 2017 the festival had a fresh new all ages approach and increased support from the community. With a record amount of Associated Activities put on by the community the festival had something to please everyone. Hundreds  dressed as Cornish Jacks and Jennies, thousands of Cornish pasties were consumed and crowds filled streets for the spectacle that is the maypole and furry dancing.

The  Cavalcade of Cars & Motorcycles was again a festival highlight with over 500 vintage cars and motorcycles travelling around the Copper Coast. Thousands travelled miles to experience the Gathering of the Bards and the Dressing the Graves.
